The primary material in our watches is wood, which is recyclable and renewable. Additionally, wood has a low CO2 emission compared to plastic and metal. To compensate for the wood used in our watches, we plant three trees for each wooden watch we sell. We do this in partnership with TeamTrees.
This foundation plants trees all around the world to promote sustainability and a better climate. Current projects (as of 2023) are taking place in countries like Nicaragua, Canada, Haiti, Kenya, and Nepal. TeamTrees has already planted over 24 million trees worldwide. By giving back more wood to the world than we consume, our wooden watches are sustainable. Our vision at NorthWatch is to combat global deforestation through the sale of our wooden watches.
